During the last days of Ryerson Hardwood Floors, we found this on a blog... ... ...
If you cannot find Ryerson Hardwood Floors, you are not alone. They were a great company founded in 1947 by Abe Ryerson. Known for their excellent craftsmanship and superb customer service they served Oregon and Washington for over sixty years. Many of you either had your floors done by Ryerson or grew up on hardwoods installed by Ryerson Hardwood. The current owner of Ryerson’s chose to close the doors in July 19, 2010.
Fortunately many of the skilled craftsmen from Ryerson’s were able to continue their vocation at another Portland company. This new company called Performa Floor operates under the same principles that made Ryerson Hardwood Floors the best flooring choice in the Northwest for so many decades. Ryerson claimed a significant share of the Northwest flooring market because of their experienced installers, superior products and a record of active involvement in the local community.
Performa Floor has many of the same floor installers and staff that were at Ryersons. They can be reached in the following ways:

Performa Floor offers installation, refinishing, cleaning supplies and even class instruction for those foolhardy enough to attempt it on their own. Their lead estimator has over 25 years experience in bidding floor installation and refinishes. I had run out of cleaner for my floors and was glad to find that Performa carries that same floor cleaner from Bonakemi. That water based cleaner is excellent for cleaning floors and has the GreenGaurd seal of approval for components that won’t harm the environment. That includes the environment my family lives in. I am sad to see Ryerson go but I am sure glad to see that Performa Floor is here for us.
Although I was just looking for the Bonakemi Hardwood cleaner for my floor I noticed that Performa Floor also carries a the same cleaning kit that I bought years ago at Ryerson. My floor is holding up great but I enjoyed looking at all of their wood displays.
